Bears injury Report: 7 players miss practice Wednesday
Check out the Chicago Bears’ initial injury report as they prepare for Sunday’s Week 10 matchup against the New York Giants.
The Chicago Bears have released their initial injury report for Sunday’s game against the New York Giants, and there’s a long list of concerns.
Seven players missed Wednesday’s practice, including star wide receivers Rome Odunze (ankle/heel) and DJ Moore (hip/groin). The same was true for five defensive players, including safety Kevin Byard III (back/ankle).
Here’s the official list from the team:
Odunze and Moore missed practices early last week, too, but were both able to get back on the field in time to be active for last week’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. Hopefully, that same scenario will play out this week, and Caleb Williams will still have his top two pass-catchers in the lineup Sunday.
Losing Byard would be a huge blow for a defensive backfield that has already suffered way too many injuries so far this season. Not having Byard’s ball-hawking, big-play ability on the back end would be tough for the Bears’ defense to navigate, even against a rookie quarterback in Jaxson Dart.
