Kyle Monangai wins ‘Angry Runs’ scepter from Kyle Brandt
Chicago Bears rookie running back Kyle Monangai got some fun recognition for his performance in last week’s win.
Chicago Bears rookie running back Kyle Monangai is getting some love from NFL Network and “Good Morning Football” after his performance last week.
One play in particular drew Brandt’s attention for his “Angry Runs” segment, earning Monangai the famous scepter that honors the most physical and punishing run of the week across the league.
Here’s the entertaining announcement from Brandt:
Monangai ran all over the Cincinnati Bengals last week, helping the Bears score a dramatic victory to improve their record to 5-3 on the season.
Even when D’Andre Swift returns to full strength, don’t be surprised if Monangai remains heavily involved in the ground game. If he keeps putting together runs like this, it won’t be long until he’s the full-time starter.
