Bears get good news on Jaylon Johnson’s return from injury
The Chicago Bears announced a positive development for star cornerback Jaylon Johnson as they prepare for Week 11.
The Chicago Bears’ banged-up secondary could be getting a huge boost in the near future.
The team announced Friday that they’ve opened up the 21-day practice window for defensive back Jaylon Johnson to return from injured reserve:
Johnson was placed on injured reserve back in September after aggravating a groin injury that had already been nagging him heading into the regular season.
Now, it looks like Johnson is nearing a return to the active roster, where the Bears desperately need more healthy bodies in the defensive backfield. Kyler Gordon is still on injured reserve, and Jaquan Brisker has yet to practice this week.
Here’s hoping Johnson is able to get off IR and return to the starting lineup sooner than later.
