Can Bears’ offense stay explosive vs. Vikings?
The Chicago Bears are creating big plays every week through the air, but the Minnesota Vikings could slow them down.
The Chicago Bears have been the NFL’s best so far this season when it comes to creating explosive plays on offense.
They’ll face a tough task this week if they want to keep that trend going, though.
Minnesota Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores is one of the best in the league and locking down opposing offenses, and his unit will pose a stiff challenge to Caleb Williams and company this week.
ESPN’s Mina Kimes and Benjamin Solak recently broke down what should be an entertaining matchup in Week 11:
The Bears clearly have the long ball going for them right now, and there’s no denying Williams has the skills and the supporting cast to keep unleashing big plays downfield. But Flores’ defense will be well aware of that, and could present a game plan that’s specifically tailored to limit those opportunities.
If that happens, we’ll have to see if Williams and the rest of the offense can still play winning football without those explosive chunks.
