This stat makes Ben Johnson’s instant impact obvious
If you need proof of Ben Johnson’s immediate impact on the Chicago Bears, look no further than this number.
When the Chicago Bears replaced Matt Eberflus with Ben Johnson, hopes were high that Johnson could inspire a quick turnaround.
It looks like that’s already happening, as the Bears currently sit atop the NFC North with a 7-3 record after another comeback win Sunday over the Minnesota Vikings.
With the win, Johnson already has more road wins as the Bears’ head coach than Eberflus did:
There are probably a million ways to measure just how much better the Bears are right now under Johnson than they ever were under Eberflus. The offense is obviously in a much better place with Johnson leading Caleb Williams and company, and they’ve proven they can find ways to win close games.
We still have a lot of season left to go in 2025, but the early returns suggest that Johnson was exactly the massive upgrade fans were hoping he would be in the offseason.
