Bears injury report: Good news, bad news from Tuesday’s practice
Check out the initial injury report from the Chicago Bears as they prepare for Friday night’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chicago Bears have released their first injury report for Week 13, and there are some pros and cons.
On the plus side, some key players were listed as full participants in Tuesday’s practice (which was just a walk-through). That included defensive backs Jaylon Johnson and Kyler Gordon, both of whom are primed for a return from injured reserve as early as this week. Rookie running back Kyle Monangai was also listed as practicing fully Tuesday.
On the other side of the coin, six players were given the “did not participate” label as their projected designation, including linebacker T.J. Edwards and defensive back Tyrique Stevenson.
Here’s the official list from the team:
It’s just a walk-through, but these projected designations are supposed to reflect what would have happened with a full practice. On a short week, the Bears have less time for these key players to get fully healthy before a massive Black Friday road matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
If they’re able to get Johnson and Gordon back in the starting lineup, it would be a massive boost to their inconsistent defense against a star-studded Philly offense.
