D’Andre Swift wins NFL honor for dominant performance vs. Eagles
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift is being recognized for a dominant performance last Friday night against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Chicago Bears notched a huge road win last week against the Philadelphia Eagles, and they’re still winning awards for their performance.
Bears running back D’Andre Swift has been named the FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week for his dominant outing on the ground Friday night:
Swift carried the ball 18 times for 125 yards and a touchdown in Friday night’s 24-15 win over the Eagles, which put the Bears at the top of the NFC playoff standings at 9-3.
Rookie running back Kyle Monangai also had a dominant outing, as the Bears rushed the ball 42 times for a combined 268 yards against the vaunted Eagles defense.
There’s plenty of credit to go around (the offensive line deserves a ton), but it’s good to see Swift honored for his part in such an emphatic performance for Chicago’s ground game.
We’ll see if Swift and the Bears can keep that trend going this week, when they head to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers.
