4 reasons Bears fans should stay optimistic after tough Week 14 loss to Packers
The Bears may have fallen to the Packers in Week 14, but there are still several encouraging signs for Chicago’s season. Here are four key reasons fans should remain optimistic moving forward.
Bears vs. Packers, Part II
Indeed, the Chicago Bears fell victim to the ghosts of Lambeau Field in Week 14, but Soldier Field has its fair share of mystique, too. And the Packers will come to Chicago in Week 16 for the rematch.
Sure, the Bears must first overcome a difficult matchup against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15, but it’s natural for eyes to begin to drift to that Saturday night primetime game against Green Bay, which, for all intents and purposes, could end up deciding who wears the NFC North crown at the end of the season.
Assuming Chicago’s offense gets off to a faster start in the rematch, the Bears will have an excellent chance to win Part II. In fact, I’d be shocked if they didn’t.
Week 14 was the tale of two halves. The Packers won the first half; the Bears won the second.
Chicago should carry that momentum into Week 16.
