Caleb Williams addresses his game-ending interception vs. Packers with powerful message
Caleb Williams opened up after his game-ending interception against the Packers, delivering a quote that gives insight into his mindset.
Some guys have it, and some guys don’t. Chicago Bears QB Caleb Williams has it.
That ‘it’ is the ability to lead an NFL locker room that encompasses all walks of life. It’s arguably the most challenging part of the job that a young quarterback faces.
Williams has met that task head-on, and as he approaches the end of his second season in the league, he’s proving he’s everything the Bears hoped for and more.
Ironically, a loss in Week 14 to the Green Bay Packers allowed some of Williams’ leadership traits to shine through.

Indeed, it was Williams’ game-ending interception that some will say cost the Chicago Bears a chance at overtime and a potential win at Lambeau Field. And, yeah, the pass intended for Cole Kmet won’t find its way onto Williams’ career highlight reel.
How Williams has handled the fallout from this pass, however, is a milestone moment for him.
Caleb Williams delivers epic quote after Packers INT
“There’s not another moment, another player, another situation … In those moments, I feel like the ball should be in my hand,” Williams said. “That’s how I felt as a kid, that’s how I still feel today, that’s how I felt on Sunday in that moment … You’re going to take those shots, and that’s the type of mindset I have that I’ll take those shots, and I’ll roll with the punches if I do miss. That’s what happened.
“You move on from it, and when that moment comes up again, I think nine times out of 10 that I’ll hit. That’s my mentality. That’s how I feel about it. Just got to give Cole a better ball in that moment, but other than that, roll with the punches if it doesn’t roll your way.”
Yeah, that’s the it factor.
Caleb Williams finished Week 14, completing 19 of 35 passes for 186 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. It was a tale of two halves for him; he threw for less than 40 yards in the first half.
He and the rest of the Bears will get their shot at revenge in Week 16, when the Packers come to Soldier Field in a game that could ultimately decide the fate of the NFC North.

Call it a hunch, but I think Caleb breaks Kramer’s record. I think he goes for 3,900-ish.
