Chicago Bears finish 2025 with impressive NFL Power Ranking from Pro Football Talk
The Chicago Bears finished the 2025 NFL season in an impressive slot in Pro Football Talk’s final NFL Power Rankings.
As Chicago Bears fans count down the days until Saturday night’s Wild Card showdown against the Green Bay Packers, outlets like Pro Football Talk are publishing their final round of NFL Power Rankings.
It’s been quite the ride for the Bears. Chicago began the season as a team consistently ranked among the NFL’s bottom 10.
Now, after finishing the year 11-6 and NFC North champions, Chicago has flipped to the other end of the spectrum. They’re widely considered a top-10 squad.
Pro Football Talk is the latest in end-of-year NFL Power Rankings that has the Bears as one of the best teams in the league. They check in at No. 7, down one spot after losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 18.

“They’re limping into a rematch with their biggest rivals (who are also limping),” Mike Florio wrote.

Chicago Bears have unfinished business as NFL playoffs approach
The Bears are very much aware of their two-game losing streak heading into the playoffs. As a result, coach Ben Johnson is preaching a very clear message: The wild card round kicks off a new year.
“We’ll make our corrections, and we’ll quickly turn the page,” Johnson said. “We don’t have to sulk on what happened [Sunday], and they understand that. We talked about that at the end of the game. I think we’re going to be good turning the page, but the things that need to be cleaned up, we’re going to clean up.”
It’ll come down to the Bears playing clean, efficient football on Saturday for them to advance to the Divisional Round. Indeed, Chicago must keep their eyes forward and focus on what’s next. However, it’s also ok to step back and appreciate how far this team has come.
“We’ve got a great group of guys,” Johnson said. “We’ve got a prideful group. We’ve earned a division title. We’ve earned the No. 2 seed in the NFC. Those are things that we’re certainly proud about, and at the same time, the season’s not over. It’s just starting for us, and our guys understand that. We can play better than what we played at the end of the season and that’s really our expectation going forward.”
