Bears get good news on potential return for key players
The Chicago Bears could be getting a couple of key players back from injury as they start their playoff run this week.
The Chicago Bears could be getting back a key player on each side of the ball this week.
Defensive back Kyler Gordon and offensive tackle Braxton Jones both had their 21-day practice windows opened this week, the team announced Tuesday:
This means both players can return to the active roster at any point in the next three weeks. If they don’t activate them, they would remain on injured reserve.
Obviously that three weeks would mean the Bears keep rolling through the playoffs, but it also means Jones and Gordon could be activated for Chicago’s wild-card matchup against the Green Bay Packers.
With all the injuries the Bears have gone through this season, getting key players back in the lineup just as the playoffs are starting would be a huge win. Playoff football is a different beast, and the Bears will need all hands on deck if they want to send the Packers home with another loss.
