Ben Johnson delivers locker room message Bears fans have waited generations to hear
Chicago Bears coach Ben Johnson delivered a locker room speech after the team’s Wild Card win over the Packers that will go down in history.
The Chicago Bears defeated the Green Bay Packers in Saturday night’s Wild Card game in what may go down as the biggest Bears win since Super Bowl XX.
Yes, that’s what beating the Packers in the playoffs means.
And it’s not just beating the Packers in the playoffs. It’s how the Bears beat the Packers.
The quarterback. Another comeback. The fact that the Green Bay Packers wanted the Bears in the Wild Card round.
And as Caleb Williams said, they got what they wanted.

Bears fans did, too. Especially during Ben Johnson’s locker room speech, when he said with as much passion as the longest-living Bears fan could, ‘F the Packers.’
What. A. Moment.
“There was probably a little bit more noise coming out of their building up north to start the week, which we heard loud and clear, players and coaches alike,” Johnson said. “This one meant something to us.”
That noise came from a few players and defensive coordinator Jeff Hatley, who told reporters during the week that the Packers’ season wasn’t ending on Saturday night.
“It definitely got us riled up,” Bears safety Kevin Byard III said.Â
It’s fair to say the Bears-Packers rivalry is back and arguably better than ever. At least, for Bears fans, it is. This is the first time — maybe, ever — that the Chicago Bears have the edge at quarterback, and it’s that edge that usually leads to victories in evenly matched games.
However, the Bears’ biggest advantage is at quarterback. Ben Johnson is that dude, and he’s already cementing an incredible legacy just one season into his tenure.
