The Chicago Bears made several moves ahead of their NFC Divisional Round playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams. And they all had to do with the massive injuries the team suffered in the Wild Card win over the Green Bay Packers.
Linebacker T.J. Edwards was officially placed on injured reserve with a fractured fibula, ending his 2025 season. In a corresponding move, the Bears signed linebacker Jalen Reeves-Maybin to the active roster. He’ll add depth on defense behind D’Marco Jackson, who will try to do the impossible and fill the void left behind by Edwards.
On offense, the Bears activated offensive tackle Braxton Jones from injured reserve.

Starting left tackle Ozzy Trapilo tore his patellar tendon against the Packers, and it’s presumed that Theo Benedet will take over starting duties. But having Jones back and fully healthy is good news. At worst, he can step in and be a competent starter if needed.
