Ben Johnson surprised a lot of Chicago Bears fans when he gave Montez Sweat a game ball after Chicago’s miracle 31-27 win over the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round.

However, as we should know by now, never doubt Ben Johnson.

Despite ending the Packers game with zero sacks, Sweat still made his presence felt. In fact, he ended Wild Card weekend with the second-most pressures (7) of all edge rushers in the playoffs.

The 33rd Team shared the impressive stat on X:

Sweat was part of an up-and-down performance by the Chicago Bears’ defense against the Packers. Johnson credited defensive coordinator Dennis Allen with making key adjustments at halftime, which kept the Bears in the game.

“I think (Dennis Allen) recognized some things that could potentially help us out,” Johnson said. “Our players brought it to life, really. He’s coached a lot of football in this league. He’s very smart. He does a great job of tweaking some things as he goes through the game, tweaking some things as we have gone through the season to help us out as much as he possibly can, and then it’s up to the players to come through for us, and it was a good combination of both. I do think he adjusted a couple of things, and our guys brought that vision to life.”

Sweat was certainly one of those guys.

If the Bears want to have any chance at defeating the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Divisional round, they’ll need an even better performance by Montez Sweat and the cast of pass rushers. Rather than just pressure Matthew Stafford, Sweat needs to get home and sack him. If he does, the Bears will have a very good chance at earning a trip to the NFC Championship.

Yes, you read that right.
