Bears RB D’Andre Swift wants to stay in Chicago
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift is headed for free agency, but he doesn’t want to go anywhere after a successful 2025 season.
Chicago Bears running back D’Andre Swift is set to hit free agency next month, but he doesn’t want to go anywhere.
Speaking at Radio Row from Super Bowl LX, Swift made it clear that after the special season they had in 2025, he wants to stay in Chicago:
Swift led the Bears with 1,087 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground this season, both career-high marks. Originally a second-round pick by the Detroit Lions in the 2020 NFL Draft, the former Georgia Bulldog added 34 receptions for 299 yards and another score through the air.
Having just turned 27 years old, Swift still has some time left in his prime. Rookie Kyle Monangai was a valuable change-of-pace back for the Bears in 2025, but his presence shouldn’t preclude Chicago from retaining Swift if the money is right.
