Report: Bears CB Jaylon Johnson OUT Monday night vs. Vikings
It looks like the Bears will be without their star cornerback for Monday night’s regular-season opener.
It looks like the Chicago Bears will be without their top cornerback for Monday night’s regular-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings.
Jaylon Johnson will not play, per Fox Sports’ Jordan Schultz:
Johnson has been dealing with multiple injuries, and was a limited participant in practice throughout the week. Per Schultz, Johnson tried to test out his injuries during pregame warm-ups, but the results appear to be that he’s not healthy enough to go.
This is a huge blow to a Chicago defense that will have to contain one of the NFL’s best wide receivers in Justin Jefferson, putting plenty of pressure on Tyrique Stevenson and Kyler Gordon to pick up the slack in Johnson’s absence.
