Will Colston Loveland, Luther Burden III finally get involved in Week 3?
The Chicago Bears’ top picks in the 2025 NFL Draft have been completely irrelevant through the first two weeks of their rookie season.
The Chicago Bears spent their first two picks in the 2025 NFL Draft on more offensive weapons for new head coach Ben Johnson and quarterback Caleb Williams, but through two games, tight end Colston Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden III have barely made a blip on the radar.
The No. 10 overall pick, Loveland has caught just two passes for 12 yards. Things have somehow been even worse for Burden, who has managed just two yards on his two receptions.
It’s safe to say that both Bears fans and fantasy football managers have noticed, and nobody’s particularly thrilled:
The Bears have no shortage of dynamic weapons on offense with Rome Odunze, DJ Moore and D’Andre Swift all having a big impact for the team right away. That said, there’s little doubt that Johnson and the rest of the coaching staff would love to see their top draft picks make a bigger impact as soon as possible.
Will that happen in Week 3 against the Dallas Cowboys? The home crowd at Soldier Field would certainly love to see it, as would all the fantasy managers who spent draft picks on these two promising playmakers.
