Where has Caleb Williams grown the most in Year 2?
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams has made many improvements in his second NFL season, but one area of his game stands out from the rest.
After an up-and-down rookie season, Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams is off to a hot start in his second NFL campaign.
Williams’ development is a huge reason for the Bears’ bounce-back from an 0-2 start to a two-game winning streak that has them back at the .500 mark heading into their bye week.
The No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft out of USC, Williams has delivered big plays down the field, and he’s taking care of the football. But what’s the biggest area of improvement we’ve seen from Williams so far this season?
Former NFL quarterback Chase Daniel says it’s Williams’ pocket presence that has seen the most growth in Year 2:
There’s no denying that Williams looks like a much more comfortable quarterback in the pocket this year. It doesn’t hurt to have a much more competent coaching staff and an improved supporting cast on both sides of the ball, both of which will always boost a young quarterback’s confidence.
After a week of rest and extra prep time, it’ll be interesting to see how much more Williams will grow throughout the rest of the 2025 season.
