Caleb Williams signs contract, ready for Chicago Bears training camp (News)

Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams had some lighthearted fun at Troy Aikman’s expense following Monday night’s win over the Washington Commanders, but when it comes down to it, he really doesn’t care what the media has to say about him and his team.

Speaking to reporters at Halas Hall on Wednesday, Williams made it clear that while he doesn’t mind occasionally trolling the likes of Aikman like he did earlier this week, critiques from outside sources don’t have any real impact on him and the team:

Plenty of people have had a lot to say about Williams for some time now, both good and bad, going all the way back to his time as an upstart freshman at Oklahoma. Through his transfer to USC and a Heisman Trophy winning season with the Trojans, to being the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, to a roller-coaster of a rookie season in Chicago, Williams has just about seen and heard it all from analysts and pundits throughout the industry.

But what actually happens on the field is all that matters, and right now, Williams and the Bears are riding a three-game winning streak, playing some inspired football as they continue to bounce back from an 0-2 start.
