Bears to place multiple players on injured reserve
The Chicago Bears will be without two players for at least the next four games after placing them on injured reserve.
The Chicago Bears will be without a pair of players for the foreseeable future.
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds and running back Roschon Johnson are both being placed on injured reserve, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport:
The move will sideline both players for at least the next four games.
It’s a blow for the Bears’ struggling defense to lose Edmunds, who has been creating big plays all season long. Both of Chicago’s other starting linebackers have also been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Steelers, too.
Johnson’s departure from the active roster will weaken the Bears’ depth in the offensive backfield behind veteran D’Andre Swift and rookie Kyle Monangai.
We’ll see if the Bears can overcome both injuries and remain atop the NFC North until Edmunds and Johnson can return.
