Ben Johnson explains his shirtless postgame celebration
Chicago Bears head coach Ben Johnson got his team fired up in the locker room after Friday night’s huge road win.
The Chicago Bears hold the No. 1 seed in the NFC playoff race, and apparently, that made Ben Johnson’s postgame speech a clothing-optional affair.
After Friday night’s huge road win over the Philadelphia Eagles, the head coach got his team riled up in the locker room by removing his shirt and bringing the house down.
Given the chance to explain his decision, Johnson cracked wise about his physique, but said it was all about the city of Chicago and his players:
Hey, if the Bears keep winning like this (5-0 in November, 9-3 on the season), Johnson can celebrate however he sees fit. After what he’s done to resurrect the franchise in just his first season, Johnson could likely get the shirt of just about anyone’s back walking around in the city right now.
There are still plenty of tough tests ahead, such as a trip to Lambeau Field to face the Green Bay Packers this week. But at this point, Johnson is giving every Bears fan a reason to go shirtless in celebration.
