Nahshon Wright wants to stay in Chicago
Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright is making it clear that he wants to come back next season and beyond.
Chicago Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright is having a breakout season in 2025, and he wants to run it back next year and beyond.
Wright, whose contract is set to expire at the end of the year, is making it clear that he still wants to be a Bear in 2026.
Appearing on 670 The Score this week, Wright talked glowingly about the city of Chicago already feeling like home:
Wright’s knack for making big plays has been a huge reason why the Bears lead the NFL in takeaways and turnover margin. He’s been inconsistent at times, giving up a few big plays the other way, but he’s more than made up for it with his ability to get his hands on the ball.
Considering all the injury issues the Bears have had in the secondary this season, it would make tons of sense for them to work out a long-term contract extension with Wright. This unit will need all the help it can get next year, and Wright has already proven his worth.
