Caleb Williams’ confidence surging after Bears’ Week 15 win over Browns
Caleb Williams is riding a wave of confidence after the Bears’ Week 15 victory over the Browns, and one throw proves it.
Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams made some special plays in Week 15’s blowout win over the Cleveland Browns, and he knows it.
The second-year quarterback is having a fantastic first season under head coach Ben Johnson in 2025, even though the Bears’ offense is defined by a bullying running game.
But that doesn’t mean Williams isn’t the centerpiece of everything Johnson wants to build in Chicago. It’s quite the opposite. And the results are paying off, as the Bears secured their first 10-win season since 2018 on Sunday.
“I know at this point we’re a good football team, and I’m looking forward to seeing this competition over the next three weeks, as they are,” Johnson said. “Our players are excited to be in this spot. We’re 10-4 and have got a lot to play for here over the next three weeks, and really in this league you can’t ask for a lot more than that.”

But what really stood out at Soldier Field was the confidence that Caleb Williams is playing with.
And that confidence can be summed up in one throw, his second touchdown pass to DJ Moore:
Our photog, Jeff Wierus (best in the biz), got a sick angle of Caleb Williams' 2nd TD pass to DJ Moore. Came right at his camera and he shot it perfectly. Enjoy!

There are throws, and then there are throws.
That Williams pass was a throw.

And it’s the kind of play that the former first-overall pick said he had no doubt he could make.
Caleb Williams is brimming with confidence
Williams was asked after the game if that touchdown pass was an ill-advised decision. His response was everything Bears fans have ever hoped for in a quarterback.
“I can make any throw,” Williams said.
“We’ve practiced that play so many times … we’ve got so much faith and belief and trust,” Williams said. “Coach made a great call, DJ ran a great route, and I just put the ball in the back of the end zone and let DJ go get it.”
I guess practice really does make perfect.
Williams crossed the 3,000-yard passing mark in Week 15, bringing his 2025 season totals to 3,150 yards, 21 touchdowns, and six interceptions.
Up next for the Chicago Bears are the Green Bay Packers in Saturday night’s Week 16 primetime clash. It’s a game that could decide the NFC North.
Bears fans wouldn’t want it any other way.
