A new Bears stadium in…Indiana?!
The Chicago Bears appear to be looking outside the box when it comes to a potential site for their new stadium.
Right now, the Chicago Bears are focused on winning the NFC North and possibly landing the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.
But looking into the future, one of the biggest items of interest to Bears fans is the eventual location of a new stadium.
Bears President/CEO Kevin Warren published an open letter to fans Wednesday to give them an update on the process:
You read that right: The Bears could build their new home stadium in another state.
Listen, I’m sure it’s no walk in the park to try and figure these things out with public officials, but come on. There’s no way the “Chicago” Bears are gonna build their new bazillion-dollar stadium in Indiana.
Warren may say this isn’t about leverage, but there’s just no realistic scenario in which the Bears’ new stadium won’t be somewhere in the greater Chicago area, and not in Indiana.
I’m sure we haven’t heard the last of this situation, and there’s sure to be many more twists and turns ahead. Buckle up, and Bear Down.
