Latest Update
Swift’s late touchdown scamper salvaged an otherwise lackluster day against the Raiders. In a prior game, Swift nearly caused a fumble on a flea flicker toss to QB Caleb Williams. Bears head coach Ben Johnson, perhaps revealing a sense of humor, called a fake flea flicker play this week that featured an over-the-top reaction from Williams, where he leapt into the air backward, with his arms outstretched, giving the defense the impression that Swift has errantly sailed the ball over Williams’ head on the toss back. Swift instead kept the ball and picked up seven yards by grabbing hold of a would-be tackler’s face mask and churning forward. Swift was hit with a 15-yard penalty on the play, negating its success and effectively embodying the Bears’ turbulent Week 4 showing. Swift has caught at least three targets in every game this season, keeping him on the volume-based RB2 radar. The Bears are on bye next week. (VIA ROTOWORLD)
