ESPN’s Matt Miller recently completed a seven-round 2024 NFL Mock Draft. There are no projected trades for the Bears, meaning Miller made four selections for Chicago at their current positioning throughout all seven rounds. We combed through Miller’s mock draft and assigned a letter grade for each Bears pick:

FIRST ROUND (NO. 1 OVERALL) | CALEB WILLIAMS, QB, USC

No surprises here. Miller projects the inevitable with the Bears selecting USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams with the No. 1 overall selection. Williams will immediately become a face-of-the-franchise quarterback in Chicago. Williams’ ability to create off script should lead to immediate success.

GRADE: A+

FIRST ROUND (NO. 9 OVERALL) | ROME ODUNZE, WR, WASHINGTON

Poles may still consider a receiver at No. 9 overall despite rostering D.J. Moore and Keenan Allen at the position. Rome Odunze is a big-bodied vertical playmaker with X-receiver tendencies. He’d be a long-term solution for Williams in the passing game. Odunze pairs elite hands with excellent body positioning. Odunze’s ability to dominate at the catch point makes him a top-10 prospect.

GRADE: A

THIRD ROUND (NO. 75 OVERALL) | JONAH ELLISS, EDGE, UTAH

The Bears are searching for a more appropriate running mate opposite Montez Sweat. Finding that player in the draft is crucial to completing the transformation of the defensive line. Jonah Elliss is a bit of a tweener, but he posted a career-high 12 sacks last season. Ellis rushes with a red-hot motor and first-step explosiveness.

GRADE: C+

FOURTH ROUND (NO. 122 OVERALL) | CHRISTIAN MAHOGANY, IOL, BOSTON COLLEGE

We’re not convinced about this pick. Poles has added various interior blockers this offseason, including Ryan Bates and Coleman Shelton. Recent signing Matt Pryor is also a swing utility lineman who can play guard if required. Christian Mahogany is an intriguing prospect with overwhelming power, but the Bears have bigger needs than guard.

GRADE: C-
